主講人簡(jiǎn)介：
陳遠(yuǎn)筑教授，1999年獲得北京大學(xué)理學(xué)學(xué)士學(xué)位，2004年獲得Simon Fraser University（西蒙弗雷澤大學(xué)）博士學(xué)位。自2005年以來(lái)他一直是計(jì)算機(jī)教授。目前就職于Queen's University（女王大學(xué)）計(jì)算學(xué)院。2004-2005年在Simon Fraser University做博士后研究員。2005年加入Memorial University（紀(jì)念大學(xué)）擔(dān)任助理教授。從2012年至2015年及2016年至2019年分別擔(dān)任Memorial University（紀(jì)念大學(xué)）本科生和研究生的副主任，從2019年至2021年擔(dān)任系主任。隨后，他于2021年加入女王計(jì)算學(xué)院。陳博士的研究興趣包括復(fù)雜網(wǎng)絡(luò)、計(jì)算機(jī)網(wǎng)絡(luò)、在線(xiàn)社交網(wǎng)絡(luò)，移動(dòng)計(jì)算、圖論和進(jìn)化計(jì)算。曾獲得國(guó)家機(jī)構(gòu)和各種大學(xué)項(xiàng)目和獎(jiǎng)項(xiàng)，榮獲2018年杰出教學(xué)校長(zhǎng)獎(jiǎng)，是IEEE高級(jí)會(huì)員。
內(nèi)容提要：
Artificial Intelligence (AI) is a transformative general-purpose technology reshaping work, education, and daily life, with adoption mirroring historical innovations like electricity and the internet.This seminar examines AI’s triple-pronged potential: its apparent prowess in understanding and generting contents,capacity for creative “hallucination” and emergent behaviors,alongside ethical risks like bias and misalignment.We explore frameworks for human-AI collaboration, including the “jagged frontier” of AI capabilities and principles like “always invite AI to the table” while retaining human oversight. AI’s disruption of education—triggering a “homework crisis” yet enabling personalized tutoring—and its role as a societal equalizer are analyzed, alongside threats to traditional apprenticeship systems. Creativity tests (e.g. AUT) challenge notions of human uniqueness, while automation’s limits underscore the need for human-AI synergy in mission-critical tasks. This seminar evaluates AI’s future scenarios, urging proactive adaptation. From Turing’s imitation game to evolving definitions of “programming,” we reflect on identity and purpose in an AI-augmented world. Through cultural parallels and actionable strategies, this talk intends to equip educators and leaders to navigate co-intelligence, harnessing AI’s strengths while safeguarding human creativity, ethics, and agency in today's rapidly evolving landscape.
