胡教授目前是香港中文大學(xué)商學(xué)院房地產(chǎn)與金融學(xué)的助理教授。她的主要研究領(lǐng)域包括房地產(chǎn)金融、實(shí)證公司金融和銀行業(yè)。她的研究論文曾在多個(gè)國(guó)際金融和房地產(chǎn)學(xué)術(shù)會(huì)議上宣講，并發(fā)表在《美國(guó)經(jīng)濟(jì)評(píng)論》（American Economic Review）、《管理科學(xué)》（Management Science）、《金融與數(shù)量分析雜志》（Journal of Financial and Quantitative Analysis）等頂級(jí)期刊上。

Natural Disaster Experiences and Household Risk Taking
Abstract:
This study finds that natural disaster experiences reduce households’ propensity to participate in the stock market and decrease the proportion of stocks in their overall asset portfolio. Risk aversion, rather than wealth or income reduction, nor expectations changes, primarily drives households’ responses to natural disasters. This effect of natural disasters spills over to neighboring regions and decay over time. Our results are robust to IV analysis, falsification tests and matched sample analysis. Our findings shed light on the role of natural disasters in shaping household risk-taking behavior and provides new insights into Chinese households’ limited participation in stock markets.

摘要：
本研究發(fā)現(xiàn)，自然災(zāi)害經(jīng)歷降低了家庭參與股票市場(chǎng)的傾向，并減少了他們整體資產(chǎn)組合中股票的比例。風(fēng)險(xiǎn)規(guī)避是家庭對(duì)自然災(zāi)害的反應(yīng)的主要原因，而不是因?yàn)樽匀粸?zāi)害造成的財(cái)富或收入的減少，也不是對(duì)股票市場(chǎng)投資收益的預(yù)期變化。自然災(zāi)害的這種影響會(huì)擴(kuò)散到鄰近地區(qū)，并隨著時(shí)間逐漸減弱。我們的結(jié)果通過(guò)了工具變量分析、證偽測(cè)試，和匹配樣本分析的驗(yàn)證，具備很強(qiáng)的穩(wěn)健性。我們的發(fā)現(xiàn)揭示了自然災(zāi)害在塑造家庭風(fēng)險(xiǎn)承擔(dān)行為中的作用，并對(duì)中國(guó)家庭有限參與股票市場(chǎng)提供了新的見(jiàn)解。
